This section is to provide an introduction and context for what follows, drawing in particular on work done to explore digital disruption: exploring how different organisations need to be aware of significant changes in the wider environment that are likely to have an impact on their activities.
02 - Genesis 2 minutes
I make brief reference to several notices and displays that got me thinking about the development of the model that underlies the BELFAST Programme.
03 - Need for English 7 minutes
Here I make some observations, in general terms, about the need for individuals to improve their general and work related communication skills in English if they are to succeed in the job-hunting process.

This section is likely to be of interest to anyone who was unable to attend the Dublin presentation and has not met me, giving a brief account of my own background and explaining some of the perspectives adopted in this project.
05 - Progress to date 6 minutes
In this part of the presentation I describe work done on English for Employability in County Cavan and some of the ways in which the original model has been modified to suit the requirements in Belfast and beyond.

This is the small group activity in which individuals worked with others to explore ways in which some of the content of the presentation might be of relevance and value in their own area.

I finish with some contact details and an invitation to contribute messages that can help with the further development of this resource and business model to make a significant difference to the lives of foreign nationals in Ireland.
